Unique lamps made from vintage glass rolling pins

  • A unique pair of vintage glass rolling pin lamps.
  • The long glass body of the pins provides a striking stem for the lamps, with lovely rippled handles either end.
  • I have inset the bottom handle into a square block of stone, then poured clear resin into the hole to secure the pins in position.
  • The resin’s reflective surface complements the glass pins and captures the natural characteristics of the stone.
  • I have left the cut edges of the stone natural to contrast with the tops. Please note the bases are not identical and have their own natural forms and markings.
  • The square bases give the lamps a good sturdy weight that allows for the graceful brass overhangs.
  • The various brass parts are attached to bungs that fit tightly into the top hole of the rolling pins.
  • With vintage golden brown braided cable running through the bottle and out near the bottom. There are black inline switches running along the cables to turn the lamps on and off with ease.
  • I have also added small antique white snooker balls to the stems to add extra character and complement the organic forms.
  • The lamps have brass bayonet cap lamp holders, that take B22 bulbs.
  • The two fluted filament bulbs complete the design and are included in the price.
  • All electrical items used are new and approved by CE safety standards.
  • The lamps have been PAT tested.
  • I love their tall elegance and unique qualities. Reminiscent of lab equipment and/or snowdrops. The lamps provide a lovely warm light. They would make very effective bed side lamps.
  • Each lamp measures : 55 x 23 x 10cms
