‘Atomic’ 1950’s heater converted into a unique floor lamp

  • A retro 1950’s space heater repurposed into a unique floor lamp.
  • The Dimplex model has an atomic design theme, with lovely round rubber feet, curved legs and a wide, thin silver chrome back plate.
  • I have completely restored the item, repainting it in its original colour. Removing the heater element and replacing with two long test tube filament bulbs.
  • The LED filament bulbs are included in the price. They are B22 and fit into two brass bayonet cap lamp holders at either end of the heater.
  • I have used a neon orange braided flex to add some vibrant colour and a contemporary twist. There is a dimmer switch midway along the flex, so the light can be adjusted, depending on your preference.
  • All electrical items used are new and approved by CE safety standards.
  • The lamp has been PAT tested.
  • A very cool vintage design, that now lives on in a new function. It would provide character and a retro vibe to any room, and it creates a nice ambient light source.
  • Dimensions: 80 x 26 x 26 cms
