I’ve used a gorgeous thick cut glass shade salvaged from a 1970’s war ship.
It would have originally been wall mounted within a metal cage, but for a more domestic setting, I have mounted it on a lovely antique mahogany base.
The Holophane glass creates a wonderful prismatic light source, and provides real character to any room.
The heavy shade is held in place on the wooden base with two golden bolts.
There is a brass effect edison screw lamp holder which takes an LED E27 light bulb, which is included in the price.
I have used a beige braided flex which complements the vintage character of the object. There is a black inline switch midway along to turn the lamp on and off with ease.
All electrical items used are new and approved by CE safety standards.
The lamp has been PAT tested.
