Repurposed lamp using a retro maroon belling heater
A gorgeous maroon vintage heater made by Belling in the 1950’s, repurposed into a retro floor lamp.
The heating rods have been removed and replaced by two test tube filament bulbs.
These give the impression of heat and warmth to a room, and are a good source of light.
The bulbs can be dimmed from ambient low level to a functional light source.
The shiny silver chrome curvaceous background creates lovely reflections of the filament light.
I have cleaned and restored the bodywork, a few small signs of wear and tear remain, but nothing that affects the overall aesthetic.
The two lovely LED Edison screw light bulbs are included in the price.
I have used a chequered red and black vintage style braided cable, with the black dimmer/ off switch midway along.
All electrical items used are new and approved by CE safety.
The lamp has been PAT tested.
Perfect for a small alcove or redundant fireplace. It really gives a wonderful impression of warmth to a room, as well as being very sweet and wonderfully retro.
