Vintage octagonal oak floor lamp with a glass domed shade
A striking tall wooden floor lamp with a two tier octagonal base and a square sided stem.
The stem gradually becomes thinner towards the top, which leads onto the unique top piece.
There is a small brass pedestal for a yellow snooker ball, which sits beneath the thin brass gallery for the shade.
The lovely white globe shade sits securely with a three armed spring clip. There is a nice gold diagonal line design on the the shade, that complements the ball and the warmth of the wood.
The oak is in very good condition, and has been polished with wax to make a smooth, shiny finish.
One of the sides of the stem has a thin darker strip of wood (see photos) which houses the cable behind it. Although it’s not detrimental to the overall aesthetic, it can be positioned at the back, so it can’t be seen if desired.
There is a brass bayonet cap lamp holder within the shade, and an LED B22 light bulb, which is included in the price.
All electrical items used are new and approved by CE safety standards.
The lamp has been PAT tested.
A substantial lamp, with plenty of character and style.
Produces a lovely warm globe of light whilst on.
