Repurposed lamp using an antique cast iron electric heater
An adorable cast iron antique electric heater which I have fully restored and repurposed into a unique floor lamp.
The casing has lovely two tone earthy hues and sweet design features.
I have installed two black edison E27 lamp holders where the heating bars were previously. They have lovely test tube LED light bulbs that mimic the original bars.
The bulbs are included in the price and produce a really lovely warm glow, they can be adjusted with the dimmer switch to suit your mood.
The deep navy back plate has lovely signs of ageing which show up nicely when lit.
I have used a brown antique style braided cable to complement the antique character.
All electrical items used are new and approved by CE safety standards.
The lamp has been PAT tested.
Full of nostalgia and unique charm. Would be perfect for a redundant fire place to give character and a feeling of warmth.
