An elegant floor lamp with a stunning amber vintage shade
An elegant vintage floor lamp that I have fully restored and repainted and given a unique top piece.
The bulbous, ridged amber glass shade provides a wonderful warm light, as well as a stunning ‘sunshine’ reflection on a ceiling.
The shade sits within a brass cup and is secured in place with a shade ring over the edison screw lamp holder.
The ornate cast iron base provides a great stable foundation for the wooden stem and heavy glass shade.
The antique turned wood stem has lovely shapes and gives the lamp elegance. Please note, the wood has a few nibbles and bumps, due to its very old age. There are also a few age marks on the glass, but, they can be turned to the back. Both described defects do not detract from the overall aesthetic.
I have painted the base and stem with a nice vintage blue hue that contrasts nicely with the amber shade.
There is also a blue snooker ball that adds another unique characteristic to the lamp.
There is a gold antique style gold flex with a black foot switch mid way along to turn the lamp on and off with ease. An E27 light bulb is included in the price.
All electrical items used are new and approved by CE safety standards.
The lamp has been PAT tested.
