Pair of Art Deco style lamps with frilly green glass shades
A lovely pair of green and gold table lamps with Art Deco glass shades.
I have renovated and rewired a pair of brass effect lamps, and styled them in relation to the glass shades.
The translucent, knobbly shades with green frilly edges sit within brass cups and are held securely with spring clips.
I painted the bases of the lamps with ‘fern’ green fusion mineral paint to tie in nicely with the green theme.
I’ve also added green snooker balls just below the shades, to give added character and style. Please note one of the balls is slightly lighter in tone than the other.
There are some signs of mottled ageing on the brass stems (see photo detail), but I don’t think this is detrimental to the overall aesthetic.
There are brass BC lamp holders, and two light bulbs are included in the price.
I have used gold antique style flex, with a black inline switch midway down to turn the lamps on and off with ease.
All electrical items used are new and approved by CE safety standards.
The lamps have been PAT tested.
Perfect little bedside lamps for a vintage style setting, with plenty of unique character and a warm light source.
