A bowling ball floor lamp with a gorgeous mid century modern amber shade
A unique floor made from a repurposed vintage ten pin bowling ball and a gorgeous amber glass shade.
The weight of the bowl makes for a great base. I have sanded off the bottom to create a flat surface and drilled a hole through the middle to house the tall silver chrome stem.
The gorgeous mid century amber glass shade sits securely within a silver gallery and is held in place with a shade ring on the edison lamp holder.
The gallery has two amber Tiddlywinks within, that conceal pre existing holes in the chrome. These add an extra feature to the overall character.
There is a silver edison screw lamp holder, with an LED E14 light bulb included in the price.
I’ve used a black braided flex to complement the bowl and there is a black foot switch located mid way along to turn the lamp on and off with ease.
There is a small amber dot on the bowl which ties in nicely with the shade.
All electrical items used are new and comply with CE safety standards.
The lamp has been PAT tested.
A tall, elegant lamp with loads of character and provides a gorgeous warm light source.
A completely sustainable design reusing lovely, quality vintage items.
Please note the lamp is stable but it would benefit from sitting in a quiet corner on a smooth surface, to avoid getting knocked.
