A 1920’s Art Deco heater converted into a beautiful floor lamp
A beautiful turquoise Art Deco heater converted into a striking floor lamp.
The cast iron body has been enamelled in a gorgeous turquoise egg shell finish, which is still in very good condition.
The heater has wonderful tiered shapes at the top and lovely shaped feet.
I’ve removed the heating elements and replaced them with two vertical LED filament test tube bulbs.
These provide a nice warm light with the original black backdrop behind them.
The bulbs are housed within two brass BC lamp holders and are included in the price.
I’ve used a green and white herringbone braided flex to complement the Art Deco style, with a dimmer switch mid way along to adjust the light to suit your mood.
All electrical items used are new and approved by UKCA safety standards.
The lamp has been PAT tested.
A perfect and stylish antique piece which would look great in a redundant fireplace to provide warm light and character.
