A mini 1950’s heater repurposed into a table lamp

  • A very sweet little mid century heater lamp converted into a striking table lamp.
  • Designed and made by Lloyd Metcalfe in the 1950’s. It has lovely teal blue feet and a striking silver chrome parabolic curve which harnesses the light from the bulb beautifully.
  • Originally a butane fuelled heater lamp, I have converted it by removing the element and replacing with a silver chrome edison screw lamp holder.
  • The lovely E27 filament globe bulb reflects beautifully on the shiny silver curve (which is included in the price).
  • I have used a turquoise braided round flex to complement the vintage status of the item and there is a black switch midway along the flex to turn the light on and off with ease.
  • The silver chrome grill protects the bulb and also creates interesting reflections on the parabolic curve.
  • Please note, there is some patina damage to one of the feet and some marks on the back of the curve (see photo), which show traces of its vintage age.
  • All electrical items used are new and approved by UKCA safety standards.
  • The lamp is PAT tested.
  • A lamp that produces a wonderful warm, ambient light. Could also be a floor lamp depending on preference. Full of vintage character and charm.
  • Dimensions: 27 x 35 x 20 cms
