NEWSLETTER FOR JUNE

Thank you to all my new subscribers this month, it’s lovely to have you here.
It’s been a busy time here at Fiona Bradshaw Designs. I’ve been working on various commissions, an exciting collaboration with Platform Gallery in Canterbury (details to follow), and working on new sustainable designs for my online shop.

My favourite commission this month:

Often customers send me their treasured possessions to be transformed into functional lighting. This month I had the pleasure of working on this trio of champagne bottles. A Methuselah, a Jeroboam and a Magnum. All with nerve rackingly thick glass to drill through! The outcome was very positive, with the customer thrilled to find a new function for his bottles that hold his precious memories. The filament globes enhance their vintage character, and provide lovely warm light.

Here are some of my highlights from new designs and restorations this month:

Original Art Deco semi flush ceiling lamp by Fiona Bradshaw Designs

A wonderful 1930’s Art Deco find. She needed restoration and rewiring and is now in perfect condition. A rare and lovely object now ready to uplight a room.

A pair of Art Deco style lamps with frilly green glass shades by Fiona Bradshaw Designs

I found these lovely Art Deco frilly shades which became the starting point for these green themed gems.

A pair of cerulean blue with star like vintage shades by Fiona Bradshaw Designs

Some wonderful retro cut glass shades that sparkle like stars upon the lovely cerulean blue porcelain bases.
